About the Role

We’re looking for a Junior Backend Engineer to help build reliable, scalable backend systems. You’ll work primarily with a modern stack and collaborate with senior mentors to maintain production services.

Your Tech Stack:

🐍 Python
☁️ Google Cloud Platform (GCP) & Cloud Run
🐘 PostgreSQL

AI-Driven Development: We make heavy use of Claude Code and AI-assisted workflows. You’ll be expected to work effectively with AI coding tools to accelerate delivery while maintaining top-tier engineering standards.

This is a great opportunity for someone early in their career who wants to learn modern cloud-native backend development in a fast-moving environment!

What You'll Do

🐍 Develop & Maintain: Create backend services using Python.
📦 Containerize: Build and deploy applications on GCP Cloud Run.
🗄️ Database Design: Interact with PostgreSQL (queries, migrations, updates).
🧪 Quality Code: Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
🤝 Collaborate: Work with senior engineers on architecture and implementation.
🤖 AI Workflow: Use Claude Code to speed up debugging and refactoring.
🛠️ Troubleshoot: Monitor performance and squash bugs.
🔍 Code Reviews: Contribute to engineering best practices.
📈 Continuous Growth: Learn through mentorship and real production work.

What We're Looking For

🎓 Education: Degree in CS, Business, or Telecom from a top university.
⚡ Skills: A proactive, self-starting attitude with great time management.
🛡️ Experience: Prior experience or education in Insurance is required!
🔥 Passion: Eagerness to thrive in a startup environment.
🗣️ Languages: Advanced English (our primary working language).
